Ep 253: Be Kind Rewind (Star Trek First Contact)

The listeners picked Star Trek: First Contact the week we lost Sir Patrick Stewart, so this one’s for Captain Picard.

Dave is a lifelong Next Generation fan, and cried during the opening credits. Cody spends the episode arguing it should have been a two-part TV episode, while the rest of us fight him on whether the stakes are real. Paul has an angle we didn’t see coming: Data, the Borg, and Picard are all reaching for something better, and only one of them gets there the right way. Dave’s Pastor’s Corner is about a man whose unhealed wound drives every decision until Lily calls him Ahab.

Also: We guess the highest-grossing Star Trek movies, and the number one will make some people angry.
